Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of weighted (A.B.C.) training as an experimental treatment on a single group of 400-meter runners from the Al-Muthanna Governorate. Sandbags were used to apply the training load, which was progressively increased to 5% of body weight for both legs. To determine the changes in the research variables, the study compared three measurement periods: pre-test, post-test, and follow-up test.In order to ascertain which measurement period was better, the researcher used a repeated measures design in the current study along with the Bonferroni test for pairwise comparisons. The biochemical variables before and after exercise, as well as the digital performance of the 400-meter freestyle event throughout the measurement times, were found to differ statistically significantly. However, there were no discernible variations between the pre-, post-, and follow-up measures in the pairwise comparisons of lactic acid during the rest period. Regarding the other factors, the post-test and follow-up test showed superiority, suggesting that the applied training intervention's effects persisted.This confirms the effectiveness of the treatment in developing biochemical variables and performance achievement in a sustained manner.
